Life as a teenager can be both rewarding and challenging. Our community is a place for youth in grades 6 - 12 to belong and grow in faith as we journey through those ups and downs together. We believe God has great things in store for you.

School Year Offerings

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday morning both middle school and high school age youth meet during the 10:05am Sunday school hour to engage with Christ and one another. High School students meet in Akers Hall and Middle School students meet in Dandridge B.

Youth Café

From 11:00 to 11:45am offers social time for friends to gather around light food.

Wednesday Nights

Youth Group

(6:00-6:45pm) This is our mid-week opportunity for youth to gather in Akers Hall, play some games, and share a meal. Dinner is provided at no charge.

(6:45-8:00pm) After dinner we will focus our time on worship and discipleship through Middle School and High School small groups and Evening Prayer. This semester we’re going through Alpha for Youth, which is a course that allows for exploration of the faith by attempting to answer questions through engaging in conversation with one another. Our hope here is to empower the faith conversation in your family, so we encourage parents to attend the Alpha Course for adults which happens simultaneously in Hampton Hall.

Grade Level Gatherings

Grade-level groups meet at various times and locations throughout the year for activities and fellowship.

We have monthly events open to all youth 6th-12th grade as well as seasonal trips. Register for all of our 2017-18 events hereParent Permission Form

The catechism describes confirmation as "the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop." Our confirmation program for youth runs from September through May, concluding with the bishop's visit at the 8:45am service in May. Our youth traditionally prepare for confirmation in the 7th grade, but we welcome older students who have not yet been confirmed.

At least one parent needs to be a member of St. George's prior to registering their child for confirmation. If you are interested in church membership, please contact Rebecca Teel, Parish Secretary | 615-385-2150 x 213 or

The Choristers of St. George’s

The Choristers of St. George’s program is for children and youth from 3rd through 12th grades. Using the Royal School of Church Music curriculum, the program is designed to develop discipline, leadership, and focus while learning music in a friendly community environment. Choristers sing regularly during Sunday morning services, Choral Evensong, and special concerts with the adult choir. In 2019, our Choristers will be the resident choir for a week at historic Ely Cathedral in the United Kingdom.
