The catechism describes confirmation as "the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop." Our confirmation program for youth runs from September through May, concluding with the bishop's visit at the 8:45am service in May. Our youth traditionally prepare for confirmation in the 7th grade, but we welcome older students who have not yet been confirmed.
At least one parent needs to be a member of St. George's prior to registering their child for confirmation. If you are interested in church membership, please contact Rebecca Teel, Parish Secretary | 615-385-2150 x 213 or firstname.lastname@example.org

The Choristers of St. George’s
The Choristers of St. George’s program is for children and youth from 3rd through 12th grades. Using the Royal School of Church Music curriculum, the program is designed to develop discipline, leadership, and focus while learning music in a friendly community environment. Choristers sing regularly during Sunday morning services, Choral Evensong, and special concerts with the adult choir. In 2019, our Choristers will be the resident choir for a week at historic Ely Cathedral in the United Kingdom.
