Seniors Helping Others
This group offers multiple volunteer opportunities during the year which serve St. George’s ministries and organizations outside of the church. New projects are available regularly, and new people are always welcome. The projects are varied so people with all abilities can help throughout the year.

DG PENCIL is a free supply store for Metro teachers, offering materials for students and teachers to supplement classroom supplies. Volunteers may be asked to bundle school supplies, collate materials, or similar work. Seniors should plan to be at the church at 9:15am in order to leave in the church bus at 9:30am. Building Community
Coffee & Conversation
Second Thursdays, 9:00 - 10:30am in the Gathering Space
Join our volunteer hosts for Coffee and Conversation in the Gathering Space. Come and go as you wish - this is a casual gathering to meet old and new friends in fellowship.
Caring Connections
Helping church members stay connected even though they may not be able to attend services or participate in activities at the church. Volunteers are assigned to contact parishioners via monthly visits, calls, or notes. In addition, these parishioners have the opportunity to participate through prayer, phone calls or writing to other parishioners. There are meaningful ways for anyone to contribute in this ministry. Contact Karen Lackey to learn more (615-352-6263 or lackeyjk@comcast.net).
Sharing our Stories
Archive & Memories Committee
