Women’s Retreat: Little Joys in Advent

We invite you to enjoy a restorative half-day retreat with opportunity for delightful conversation and fellowship. Led by the Rev. Sarah Condon and special guest Melina Luna Smith, this retreat will offer a time for spiritual growth and reflection with other women of the church. Melina is the founder of StoryMakers NYC, clergy wife, and mother of two. With a whimsical eye and commitment to creative storytelling, Melina has a gift for making Scripture come alive in new and exciting ways.

Moms’ Bible Study
Resumes Wednesday, January 7 | 9:00–10:30am in Akers Hall (upstairs)
Led by the Rev. Sarah Puryear & Mary Helman
Come study the Bible with other moms from our community. This year, we will be digging into the Gospel of John and its stories about the life and ministry of Jesus. Each week, we will read a passage together and share lively discussion. From newborns to high school, all moms with kids at home are welcome, and childcare is provided by request with registration. Women’s Bible Study

Our semester together launches with an engaging new study on the Proverbs called The Way of Wisdom. Through lessons taught by a variety of women, this study invites us to lean onto the abundant grace of God as we navigate real-world topics, from work and leadership to relationships and finances. Aelfric’s Readers Book Club
Second Tuesdays | 6:00 – 7:30pm in Johnson Hall
St. George’s book club chose its name from Aelfric the Grammarian who lived in the first half of the 11th century. This is a casual book club for women who love to read! Daughters of the King
Second Sundays | 10:05am in the Library
The Daughters of the King is an Episcopal Order for women based on a simple “Rule of Life” including prayer, service, and evangelism. We pray daily for the needs of others, we serve at St. George’s and in the community, and we seek to commend our faith to others in our lives. New women are always welcome to our meetings.
