Churchball
Saturdays, December - February
Churchball is back! This is a basketball league of local churches that welcomes all 7th-12th graders of all skill levels (who are not already playing on their school team). It is such a blast and we'd love for your child to participate. Click below to learn more and register.
Dinner with Room in the Inn
Tuesday, November 25th at 6:00pm in Akers Hall
Throughout the winter months our students have the opportunity to serve dinner for and eat dinner with men from Room in the Inn that we host here at St. George's. We'd love for our students to sign up below!
Sunday School
Sundays, September 7–November 30 at 10:05am
Each week we look into God's Word together and discover what it teaches us about who we are and the God we serve.
9th–12th Grades | Walking the Walk: Practicing our Faith
Led by Daniel Huff & Friends in Akers Hall
This fall, students will examine practical ways of living out their faith and finding intimacy with Jesus through simple habits and rhythms in the midst of our busy, everyday lives.
8th Grade | Youth Confirmation
Led by Phil Gaines & Friends in Room 220
This class provides a space for students to deepen their understanding of daily life as followers of Jesus and discern whether they would like to be confirmed. This class is the primary teaching for youth confirmation, but there are additional events during the year.
7th Grade | Conversations with God: Stories from the Old Testament
Led by Julie Gibbons & Kendall Facer in Room 219
Students will discuss stories in the Old Testament where God speaks directly to his people and changes them forever.
Youth Group
Wednesdays, September 3–December 10
6:30-8:00pm in Akers Hall (upstairs)
Youth Group is an opportunity for our 7th-12th grade students to gather each week for games and fellowship. Our evenings are filled with activities, games, snacks, and time to learn about Jesus in small groups as we study the Letter of James.
Confirmation
September 2025 – May 2026
Confirmation begins in the fall for students in 8th grade or older. Throughout the year, we will grow in relationship with one another and with Jesus as we prepare to publicly confirm the promises made at our baptisms and take ownership of our faith in Christ. We meet for Sunday School class each week to discuss what it means to be a Christian and specifically what that looks like here at St. George's. We will go on a retreat, serve together, and finally be confirmed by our bishop in May!
Ways to Serve
Acolytes | One of the most important ways for youth to engage in worship is by serving as acolytes in our traditional services. There is always room for new volunteers in this ministry! To learn more, contact church member Edward Playfair.
Lectors | Volunteers read Scripture at all of our services each week, and youth are invited to participate in the service they normally attend. To learn more, contact our Administrative Assistant, Ashley Sullivan.
Choristers | The Choristers of St. George's is for 3rd-12th graders. Together, they learn singing skills, improve musical literacy, and lead worship — all while making friends and having fun! The choristers rehearse Wednesday evenings at 5:00pm. To learn more, contact our Director of Music Ministries, Woosug Kang.
