The Rev. Colin Ambrose joined the St. George’s team in 2019 and serves as Vice Rector and Chief of Staff. Much of his ministry centers on preaching and teaching, equipping the clergy and staff of St. George’s, and cultivating a community where people are known, welcomed, and encouraged to use their gifts in the life of the church and the wider community.

Prior to St. George’s, Colin served for a decade at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, he received his BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following college, Colin worked with Lehman Brothers in New York as a financial analyst and then spent five years as managing partner of a construction and remodeling company he co-founded in Chapel Hill. Discerning a call to ministry, he received his Master of Divinity, cum laude, from Nashotah House Theological Seminary in 2009.

Colin is married to Trisha, and the Ambroses have three children — Clara and Henry, both in college, and Adel, a junior in high school. He and Trisha can often be found walking their Brittany, Bo — short for Bojangles.
