Sunday School Classes

Finding Ourselves in the Bible’s Story of God’s Mission

Sundays beginning September 13

In the Gathering Space and on Zoom

10:05 - 10:50am

Led by the Rev. Dr. R. Leigh Spruill and members of our clergy

The purpose of this adult Sunday School course is to help us learn how to read the Bible in such a way that we find ourselves inside the essential story of God’s mission to redeem the world. Once this central thread to Scripture is clearly visible to us, Christians are better able to discern and claim our identity and purpose as God’s ambassadors sent into the world to bless. This survey course will take us from the call of Abraham at the beginning of the Old Testament to the final vision of God’s mission to the world in the Book of Revelation. While Fr. Leigh will serve as lead teacher and course moderator, the class format will be a team-teaching approach with the other clergy of the parish.

I Will Return: Living in the Light of the Promise

Sundays beginning September 13

In the Chapel & on Zoom

10:05 - 10:50am

Led by the Ven. Dr. Martin Odidi

Jesus promises that he will come again at the end of time.  While we do not know the day or hour of his return, Jesus calls us to live in the light of this promise.  How does the promise of Jesus’ return shape the way that we live today?  Please note that classes on the second Sunday of each month will ONLY be online due to space limitations at the church.

Youth Sundays

Sundays, 4:30 - 6:00pm under the tent

Starting September 13, bring your own dinner and spend time with one another as we remain socially distant! There will be teaching, worship, games, and discussion.

Here at St. George’s our children’s groups follow a curriculum from LifeWay called The Gospel Project (TGP). Through TGP, our children in pre-k through 6th grade will discover how the gospel story is woven through scripture – from Genesis through Revelation. We see how the gospel transforms everything – our hearts, our actions, and our world.

While we are worshipping at home rather than in person, you will be able to find a weekly STG KIDS Online video full of joy, learning, singing, and crafting. A new video will be posted every Sunday morning here - watch whenever it is convenient for your family.
