Soul Shop Workshop
Saturday, October 9
Soul Shop gives participants a lens to see those among us who are desperate and in need of hope. Often these people are looking for help and don’t know how to ask for it. This Christian workshop will equip participants with tools for suicide awareness, basic conversation skills, and learning how to invite those who have suffered to share their stories. Together we'll learn the signs to look for, develop the skills and tools to assist the hurting, and leave with the conviction that this ministry is a part of the gospel mandate to bind up the broken-hearted.
The workshop will be led by Michelle Snyder from Soul Shop Movement. Michelle holds a degree in social work and theology and is co-author of the book Life, Death, and Reinvention: The Gift of the Impossibly Messed-Up Life. In addition to her work with Soul Shop Movement, she is a mental health therapist, an executive leadership coach, a church consultant, a mother of two teenage daughters, and a pastor’s spouse.
The St. George’s Pastoral Care and Youth Ministries teams are hosting this very special event, we look forward to seeing you there!
