I Belong Project Video Shoot Needs

Tennessee Kids Belong

The 'I Belong Project' video shoots with Tennessee Kids Belong give children in foster care a face and a voice.  Volunteers are needed to play with the children between filming sessions on Thursday, July 1.

Adult Mentors

Preston Taylor Ministries

PTM is looking for adult mentors for elementary and middle school children to build a one-on-one relationship and help them grow in the Lord. Mentor/Mentee meetings are once a week either in person or virtual. You will need to watch an orientation and training video. Visit their website to learn more

Friday Night Worship

The Cookery

Worship begins at 6pm every Friday evening at The Cookery. Volunteers are welcome to come and worship with us, as well as join in as part of the worship team or bringing the Word.

Bible Study Teachers (Men Only)

The Cookery

Bible Study Teachers/Leaders are volunteers who commit to coming once a week for one month (certain topics/books may require a longer time commitment) to teach on a specific topic or lead the men through a bible study book or book on a certain topic.  Most pressing topics: Father Heart of God, Purity, Identity, Elementary Discipleship principles, Forgiveness.

Prayer Partners

The Cookery

Prayer Partners are volunteers who love to spend time ministering to others through prayer.  They can come to The Cookery during restaurant hours and pray in and over our space. Pray over the prayer cards left by customers on our prayer wall. Pray with and for our students as conversations arise. Pray for any customers that either request it or are open to it as conversations arise. They can also pray from home with a list of our current students, staff and pressing needs.

Hospitality/Dinner Team

Safe Haven Family Shelter

Become a hospitality volunteer! Safe Haven provides meals for their families 365 days a year for up to 40 residents at a time. Hospitality volunteers are responsible for the purchase and preparation of evening meals. Meals can be prepared at home and brought in, or prepared in their kitchen onsite. Dinner begins at 6pm and concludes around 7pm.

Administrative Help

Safe Haven Family Shelter

Safe Haven Family Shelter needs help with their front desk, which includes answering phones, greeting guests, and other administrative tasks, on an “on call basis.” They also need regular help on Mondays or Wednesdays for a few hours between 8am and 6pm and on Fridays from 8am – 12:30pm and 12pm – 5pm. There is a one to two hour training for this role typically held on a Tuesday or a Thursday (hours are flexible).

Siloam Health

SIloam Health is in need of specialists, nurses, PT/OTs, pharmacists, and registered dieticians who can work two 2-4 hour shifts per week. You must be licensed and complete the volunteer orientation and training shifts. Learn more here.  

Clinic Support

Siloam Health

Siloam Health is in need of Spanish and Arabic interpreters, clinic assistants, administrative support, and refugee clinic support. You must be able to work two 2-4 hour shifts per week and complete the volunteer orientation and training shifts. Learn more here

Mobile Meals

St. Luke's Community House

Deliver hot, nutritious meals and a friendly visit to seniors and home bound individuals living in West Nashville. All volunteers will need to complete the application, as well as a background check and confidentiality waiver. This 'n That Thrift Shop

This 'n That Thrift Shop provides essential support to St. Luke's Community House. They have reopened for business but need more volunteers to be able to operate their regular hours.

Provide dinner for the current 4:13 Strong class  on Thursday evenings. You can prepare a homemade meal in your kitchen or order takeout. Plan to stick around and eat with them because they love the fellowship. Sign up here.

Each Friday we invite a man from the community to join us for lunch and share their story. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do, you have a story that is worth sharing. The 4:13 Strong guys are interested in hearing about how other men make money, what other men struggle with, and what they do for fun. Food Pantry Volunteer

The Branch of Nashville

The Branch of Nashville is looking for food pantry volunteers. This is a great opportunity for families as children as young as 10 can volunteer if accompanied by an adult. There is a 2 hour minimum time commitment. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. For more information and to sign up, click here.
