Luke 10:38–42

In this sermon, Colin reflects on the story of Mary and Martha to explore what Jesus meant by “the one thing needful.” Rather than correcting Martha for serving, Jesus invites Martha—and us—into a deeper kind of hospitality: one that begins not in the kitchen, but at his feet. True Christian faith, we learn, starts not with doing for Jesus, but with receiving him into the center of our lives.
