The Great Vigil of Easter: Do Not Be Afraid
Scripture: Matthew 28:1-10
Tonight we gather to proclaim the mystery and victory of the resurrection—a victory that speaks directly to our fear. In Matthew’s Gospel, both angel and risen Lord say, “Do not be afraid,” reminding us that God’s faithful love is stronger than death. Easter is the promise that our future is not despair, but life—and that we are free to live with joy.
