Welcoming the Rev. Caroline Osborne

Dear friends in Christ,

I am very pleased to share that I have called the Rev. Caroline Osborne to join our staff as a part-time Associate Rector beginning in mid-October. Caroline currently serves as Associate Rector at Grace Episcopal Church in Ocala, Florida. Previously, Caroline has worked in the offices of the Diocese of Central Florida and as a professional family counselor. Caroline attended Asbury Theological Seminary where she earned an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where she completed an Anglican Studies Certificate. The child of foreign missionaries, Caroline has a rich Christian story to share and will bless St. George’s with many vital gifts. She is married to Robert, also a priest in the Episcopal Church who has just been called to serve as the Priest-in-Charge at St. Joseph of Arimathea in Hendersonville. The Osbornes are expecting their first child in January!

As always, I am grateful and delighted by God’s providence. I had already begun an interview process with Caroline at the start of this calendar year upon the departure of Fr. Clint Wilson from our staff. With travel challenges and budget constraints caused by the coronavirus, I had put aside trying to fill that open position until next year. Alas, as the Osbornes are called to the Nashville area in any case, a door has opened for us to have Caroline join us in this part-time capacity sooner rather than later. Again, I am thankful and excited to have her join our ministry team and for all the ways she will bless our parish life. I know you will join me in welcoming Caroline to St. George’s later this fall.
