Adult Offerings

Praying the Psalms

Sundays, June 2 — July 21  (No Classes on July 7)

Hampton Hall

No set of poetry has left a deeper impression on human history than the Psalms, the book of songs designed to be the prayer book of God's people as they wait for the Messiah and his coming kingdom. Written to join the Hebrew Torah, or the first five books of the Old Testament, the Psalms is a remarkable collection of poems from David, Moses, and other Jewish writers.  Join us this summer at 9am in Hampton Hall as we study the Psalms, their source, their power, and how they have enriched the lives of millions of people throughout human history. No registration necessary – visitors welcome at any time.

St. George’s 101

Sundays, June 2 — 30

Library

This is a multi-week gathering for anyone who would like to be introduced to, or dig deeper into, the vision of our life together at St. George’s. It’s a great place to learn about our commitment to being disciples of Jesus Christ and to take the next steps of becoming a deeper part of our community. Those new to St. George’s are especially invited to attend!

VeggieTales Summer Sundays

Sundays, June 2 – 30

Room 211 (Upstairs)

On Sundays in June, children in Childcare are invited to join Bob and Larry and the rest of the VeggieTales characters as we explore stories from the New Testament and sing and play in VeggieLand.  Our theme this year is “Love Your Neighbor!” Registration is encouraged for those who plan to attend.  Each child will receive a T-shirt. Children whose families choose to attend both the 9:00 adult class as well as the 10:00 service are welcome to stay for the entire morning.  These children will be offered additional outdoor play.

Weekly Childcare & Nursery

St. George’s welcomes children to all services. However, for our youngest children, we do offer nursery and childcare during the The Table (9:00), Sunday School (9:00) and the 10:00am service in the Nave. Children in childcare enjoy a Bible story, singing, and prayer during a portion of the hour.

Nursery and childcare open 15 minutes prior to the service.

Parents are invited to pick up their children to receive Holy Eucharist during the worship service. Those remaining in childcare during the 8:45am service and The Table will be brought to the sanctuary for a blessing and then taken back to their classroom.
