Join us for a fun morning of fellowship and service to the community at the St. George’s Mission Day. We will disperse into the community to serve twelve local agencies and to Waverly, TN.
Our staged response for Humphreys County is underway with a book drive for Waverly Elementary and volunteer opportunities as part of our Mission Day on Sept. 25.

Seniors Helping Others
Tuesday, September 21
Seniors Helping Others will package diapers for babies and mothers in need. The Nashville Diaper Connection will provide the diapers for us to count, label, and wrap into packs of 25. Come, enjoy good conversation and help these struggling families.
Flu Shot Clinic

Our annual flu shot clinic is from 11:00am to 1:00pm in Johnson Hall. Vaccines are available for flu, pneumonia, and tetanus. COVID-19 vaccines and boosters will not be available at this clinic. Questions? Contact Robin Puryear at 615-385-2150 x 247.

Blessing of the Animals

St. Francis of Assisi famously preached to wild animals. On his feast day every year, our priests bless the pets in our congregation. Pets of all shapes and sizes are welcome to this outdoor service on Sunday, October 3, at 2:00pm — please bring them on leashes or in carriers for this outdoor service.

This favorite monthly event returns the first Thursday of every month. Join us for Eucharist in the Chapel at 7:00am, followed by breakfast in Hampton Hall. All men of the church are invited.

Save the date for a grand pilgrim reunion and celebration. Leigh and Susalee Spruill will join us via Zoom from Houston and Fr. Kamal Farah will join us via Zoom from Nazareth. Service of Remembrance

The past year has been a particularly difficult one in which to mourn the death of our loved ones due to gathering restrictions. We’ll hold a brief Service of Remembrance on Sunday, October 17, at 10:05am in the Chapel is for anyone who has experienced grief or loss in the last year.

Traditionally the last service of the day before bedtime, this brief and beautiful service is set in a darkened church and sung by a small men’s choir. Join us in the Nave at 9:15pm and stay as long as you wish after the service in this quiet space, departing in silence.
