Lenten Dinners & Conversation
Wednesdays, March 1 - 29, 6:00 - 7:15pm in Legacy Hall
Our Lenten Wednesday table fellowship and discussion explores seeing Christ in the darkness, as we engage with art around the same theme. His presence there draws our attention to things we might otherwise avoid. Christ’s love encourages hope. Reflections from artists including singer-songwriters, storytellers and visual artists will be highlighted in the program.
The prints and woodcuts of George Rouault (1871-1958), on exhibit in the Bradford Gallery will focus our reflection. His work is set against the backdrop of war in Europe. But in that challenge, he searches for Christ with us. Each Wednesday night we will select a piece of art for reflection. Special guests will join us with their own responses to the selected piece in music, storytelling, or visual art. Our final gathering will feature visual artwork from the St. George’s congregation.
