Pilgrimage Overview
Follow the story of the Reformation with a meaningful pilgrimage through the heart of Europe. This journey brings history to life starting in Geneva, Switzerland to explore the International Museum of the Reformation, submersed into 500 years of history. Stand in the very place where John Calvin preached for three decades at St. Peter's Cathedral, and continue on to Bern to visit its historic cathedral, followed by a guided walking tour through the churches of Zurich.
On Day 4, our groups embarks of a 7-day riverboat cruise to travel into the heart of Europe, including a stop in Worms—site of the historic Diet of Worms, the council where Martin Luther famously defended his teachings. After several days, the pilgrimage concludes in Amsterdam with a visit to the Luther Museum, offering a final reflection on the enduring legacy of the Reformation.
Those who choose to extend the journey will travel on to Berlin for a guided tour of the historic capital. The group will visit All Saints' Church, Wittenburg—also known as the Castle Church—where Luther famously posted his 95 Theses, igniting the Reformation. The final days include a visit to the Augustinian Monastery in Erfurt, where Luther lived as a monk, and a journey to Wartburg Castle, his place of refuge where he translated the New Testament into German while in hiding.
Pilgrims will come away with a deeper understanding of how the Reformation shapes our faith today, and how God's constant hand is at work throughout history.
