Restore Ministries

Beginning in August 2006, St. George’s began hosting Restore Ministries' 12-step program. The program is offered by the YMCA at partner churches throughout Nashville. The Christ-centered program helps both people seeking a disciplined program for personal Christian growth as well as those working to overcome problems of low self-worth, weight-loss/food, depression, co-dependency, substance abuse, pornography or debt/overspending. The program is open to the community. Participation is strictly confidential. Contact Bob Schwartz, 385-5544 for more information.

Journey to Freedom: a seven-week series that helps a person make changes to better navigate the struggles of life and find a life of greater depth and wholeness.

Power to Choose: Restore Ministries’ recovery program, meeting over 14 weeks. It seeks to strengthen participants’ abilities to choose and find greater personal freedom, all in a Christ-oriented series of meetings. (Prerequisite: Journey to Freedom)

Love is a Choice: Offers hope to those who feel caught in a trap of constantly trying to please others and yet feeling guilty. Also a 14-week series, it explores the feeling that something is missing in life. Common relationship problems are questioned and explored, while healthy solutions and coping tools are offered for the future.
