Youth & Children's Choirs

Our choirs glorify God in worship through the beautiful music of the Anglican tradition. St. George’s is a member of the Royal School of Church Music, and as a regular part of musical training, choristers work towards ribbons representing levels of achievement in the RSCM Training Scheme. In addition to regularly leading worship and our weekly rehearsals, our choirs enjoy seasonal fun activities, and have been ice skating, rock climbing, ziplining, laser-tagging, and bumper-car-ing, among other feats of bravery and skill. We are always thrilled to have new members – please call or e-mail Gerry Senechal at the Church for more information.
If you have questions about St. Gregory’s Choir, please e-mail Gerry Senechal or call him at 385-2150 ext. 252. For St. Dunstan’s, St. Cecilia's and St. Alban’s questions, please e-mail Kim Messer, Music Administrator or call her at ext 253.

St. Gregory's Choir
For Grades 8-12

Rehearse Wednesdays 6:00-6:55 pm in St. Gregory's Choir Room. Director: Mr. Gerry Senechal; RSCM Coaches: Ms. Rachel Hansbury.
St. Gregory’s Choir is for choristers from 8th through 12th grade. Our primary purpose is to preset beautiful, inspiring, worthy praise during worship at St. George’s, and we sing the very best music of the Anglican Tradition. St. Gregory’s has served as Choir in Residence for one week at Washington National Cathedral in addition to singing Festival Evensongs at the Chapel of St. John the Divine in Champaign, Illinois, the Chapel at the University of the South, England’s Winchester Cathedral, and West End United Methodist Church in Nashville.
When we’re not rehearsing, we have a lot of fun – St. Gregory’s has enjoyed laser tag, ice skating, rock climbing, ziplining, and lots of good food.
Our plans for the future include our first annual Choir Camp at Deer Run Retreat Center, a lock-in, more Evensongs in locations far and near, and tours to Scotland and the Holy Land.
Anyone in grades 8 through 12 is invited to join St. Gregory’s. Please contact Gerry Senechal with any questions – we would love to have you.

St. Alban's Choir (boys) and St. Cecilia's Choir (girls)
For Grades 3 - 7
Beginning this Fall, St. George’s will have something new and exciting for singers in grades three through seven – two choirs! Boys will sing in St. Alban’s Choir and girls will sing in St. Cecilia’s Choir. In addition to the increased attention this will provide each chorister, having two groups enables us to take advantage of the unique qualities of boys’ and girls’ voices. Our Fall Kickoff event this year will be attending the last Sounds home game of the season on Sunday, August 28th at 6:35 PM! The cost is $10 each, and parents and siblings are welcome as well. Please e-mail gerry.senechal@stgeorgesnashville.org by Friday, August 26th at the latest so we can reserve your tickets. Regular Wednesday rehearsals will begin on September 14th and will be from 4:30-5:30.
St. Dunstan's Choir
For Grades 1 and 2

Starting September 18th, we will continue St. Dunstan’s Choir. This choir is a fantastic introduction to choral music and singing for students in the first and second grades. We will be working on the fundamentals of music and singing through hymns and other church music. We will also have A LOT of fun! Rehearsals are 11:00-11:30 Sundays in Room 205.
